Katie Holmes is out with the previous bob she had, and in with a new pixie crop!
Even as I know most of you are thinking, “Why the heck does Katie keep chopping her hair shorter?!?” Well I’m going to have to say that I kinda like it! Some girls can definitely not handle hair shorter that 50% of the men, but Katie Holmes is one of the few that can rock a pixie cut.
Now if she goes any shorter, then we might have ourselves a problem. And seriously, isn’t this why they make extensions these days??? It’s not like she would have to wait until it grew back (which is going to take FOREVER) for long hair again.
Also, if you ever even considered chopping off all your locks, now is definitely the time - the crop is high on the list of 2008’s hair trends and will probably stay long enough to see it through 2009 as well.
Stylists are also greeting the new ‘do with mixed reviews.
“I’m personally not crazy about the look on anyone,” says celebrity stylist and beauty expert Billy Lowe, adding that the cut with its soft neckline reminds him of a wig. “I liked her much better in the bob. I thought it was really sophisticated, very chic and very trendy.”
Stacy London, co-host of TLC’s “What Not to Wear,” raved about the cut, saying it fit her face and her fashion persona much better.
“This whole sort of fashion evolution since becoming Mrs. Tom Cruise, I think it has taken her time to find her sea-legs,” says London. “This haircut is clearly a step in the right direction.”
