Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Update About The Twins
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s latest interview on the gifted ones Vivienne and Knox, and clear the air about the IVF rumors going around.
“Wanting a big family is one of the things that brought us together,” said a tired but contented-looking Jolie in the interview accompanying the first baby shots, for which the magazines reportedly coughed up $14 million.
Pipes in Pitt, “Always said if I were to do it, I’d do it big.” And that is exactly what they are doing with adding Knox and Vivienne to the family, bringing the total to 6 children all under the age of seven.
When the couple first received word about getting two for the price of one, Brad explained, “Angie was on the table during the sonogram, and we were in hysterics. We did not see this one coming.”
Adds Angelina, “We were in shock, and could not stop laughing.”
But she says there’s no truth to reports that their dual stork delivery was the result of medical intervention.
“If they had been conceived through IVF, we would have been happy to discuss it,” says Jolie, whose interview openness includes recently enthusing to Entertainment Weekly that pregnancy is “great for the sex life.” “But we have been fortunate enough never to have had fertility problems.”
“I knew [that because they're twins] they would be premature, so when I saw they were big and screaming with healthy lungs, I was at peace,” sighs Angelina, who underwent a C-section to have the children.
As for how they decided on the tots’ monikers, “The name Vivienne came to us early, as if she named herself,” explains Pitt. “She has always been Viv. And Marcheline is to honor Angie’s mother [Marcheline Bertrand, who passed away in January of 2007]. Knox came soon after. It is a family name, my grandfather’s. Léon is a classic French name.”
