US Olympic Swimmer Jessica Hardy Tests Positive For Steroids?
Breaking news has just been released that US Olympic swimmer Jessica Hardy has tested positive for a banned substance today.
Hardy is one of Leisel Jones’ main breaststroke rivals for the Beijing Olympics.
The former world record-holder’s A and back-up B sample from the recent US Olympic trials tested positive, according to reports.
Did she really think she would get away with this???
It’s reported that Hardy has left the US team’s training camp in California, although USA Swimming had yet to make any public comment on the reports before publication last night.
It remains unclear exactly what the banned substance is, but it’s about 90% sure that the substance is some sort of performance enhancing substance.
Hardy’s agent Evan Morgenstein said the reigning 50m breaststroke world champion told him that she didn’t cheat.
“She’s the one person I would never believe would do anything - anything - to cheat. Ever,” he said.
Only time will tell on this on.
