Well if you were wondering how well The Dark Knight did last night, here is your answer.

“The Dark Knight” set a box office record for a midnight debut, raking in $18.5 million Friday.

Not too shabby.  I’m sure the investors are pleased to have received 1/10th of their entire investment back on a single showing.

Box office watchers are also saying the movie could break records for weekend ticket sales.
