Angelina Jolie Birth Went Flawlessly
The doctors are speaking and the reports are out. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are officially an all-star duo in the delivery room!
During the birth of their twins, the couple “were talking, they were together,” Jolie’s doctor, Michel Sussmann said Sunday afternoon in a press conference.
“It was an epidural, so [Angelina] was awake and speaking and laughing. They were happy,” said Sussmann who delivered the babies via Cesarian section Saturday night at the Lenval Hospital.
When it came time to cut the babies’ umbilical cords, Pitt was up to the task. “He was my assistant!” Sussmann joked.
“He was perfectly calm, totally determined, very pleased to be at the birth of his children, very moved and very emotional.”
As for when the newborns will leave the hospital, “I don’t know,” the Sussmann said. “She will stay for a few days. You know, in Europe it isn’t like in the United States, where the patients go home after three days. They will stay a bit longer until everything is okay.”
Sussman continued, “the babies are fine. The babies are with the mother and father and they are fine.”
When asked whether the birth had been a textbook delivery, Sussmann replied, “absolutely no problems.”
Congrats to Angelina and Brad! I bet they are so excited to have received a boy and a girl. They could not have written a script better than this delivery went.
