Gym Class Heroes frontman Travis McCoy Arrested!
Gym Class Heroes singer Travis McCoy was arrested Tuesday night in St. Louis on one charge of third-degree assault.
McCoy and the band had just finished the first song of their Warped Tour set when a black audience member near the front row called the lead singer a “fucking ignorant n—-r.”
Ouch! That one must have hurt!
As security was removing him from the crowd, McCoy reportedly reached down and hit the heckler on the head repeatedly with his microphone. How awesome would have that been to watch! It has to be posted on YouTube here shortly!
McCoy apologized for his violent reaction and said it wasn’t representative of him as a person. “I’m sorry. But when someone calls you something that ignorant and that offensive, you have to bash their head in with a microphone,” said McCoy.
McCoy was released early Wednesday morning on $500 bond.
