Britney Spears and Kevin Federline Heading To Custody Trial
The custody trial that proceeded on the Thursday settled nothing about the fate of Sean Preston and Jayden James custody arrangement. And there is only one thing this could mean for Britney Spears and Kevin Federline, another custody trial!
“The mediation didn’t result in an agreement that would avoid the trial set in August,” said lawyer Mark Kaplan during a post-hearing statement.
“It wasn’t a breakdown in communication for the parents, however, Kaplan insists, “The mood was comfortable, positive and it was a mood that was consistent with opening at least a great dialogue, which is necessary. If the existing arrangement was acceptable to both parties… we wouldn’t have to go to trial. But that didn’t happen.”
Federline’s seems to be interested in what’s best for the children: “He wants to have an order,” Kaplan said, “that takes into account a certain stability and structure for the kids…regardless of whose house they happen to be at at any given moment.”
It’s so good to see Britney and Kevin handling this like grown ups. Could you imagine how dirty this would have been a year ago???
