Ruben Studdard To Marry Surata Zuri McCants
While he may have won the hearts of millions of people on “American Idol,” this weekend, Ruben Studdard will be giving all of his heart to a single woman.
Surata Zuri McCants, age 30, is set to marry the American Idol crooner, nicknamed the “Velvet Teddy Bear” in Birmingham, Alabama on Saturday.
A representative for the former “Idol” confirmed to The Associated Press on Tuesday that Ruben Studdard, 29, has planned a Saturday wedding.
He and McCants got their marriage license just before noon Monday in Shelby County, Alabama. The license they received is good for 30 days.
A witness who saw the cute couple fill out their marriage license paperwork said, “They looked really happy.”
The groomsmen will be dressed in black Joseph Abboud tuxedos with black shirts and black vests, while Studdard will wear a white vest and a white hand-tied bow tie. They will look sharp in those wedding pictures. No word on what kind of wedding dress his beautiful fiancé Surata Zuri McCants will wear.
