Ashley Tisdale HIV Rumors
So this has to be one of the meanest rumors I have ever heard started.
Someone has started a false rumor that Ashley Tisdale tested positive for HIV. On Thursday, multiple posts hit the internet that claimed Ashley contracted the disease during her rhinoplasty surgery last year.
Ashley’s rep was forced to release a statement saying the nasty rumors are “completely untrue.”
By Friday the rumor mill kicked into overdrive causing some panicked fans to post YouTube videos to “Pray for Ashley.”
Another Internet site posted what it claimed was a statement from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
But Cedars-Sinai spokesperson Simi Singer tells People: “We absolutely did not issue a release.”
It’s time for some people to get a life and realize the effect starting a rumor like this could have on an individual.
