The Bachelorette Stars, Trista and Ryan Sutter, Welcome First Child!
Trista and Ryan Sutter, stars of the first season of The Bachelorette, have welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Maxwell Alston Sutter..
The new arrival was born on Thursday and weighs 5 lbs. 3 oz., says a source close to the couple.
Ryan, 33, and Trista, 34, who had been trying to conceive for some time, revealed the pregnancy to PEOPLE exclusively in February.
“We are so happy after two years of trying,” Trista said. She admitted to having “horrendous morning sickness,” but added, “Everyone says that is a sign of a healthy pregnancy.”
Ryan said at the time: “I am happy to be able to finally be a dad.”
Trista told PEOPLE last year that she wasn’t overly concerned about her difficulty conceiving. “My theory is that it will happen when it’s supposed to, so I’m not stressed out about it,” she said. “And I’ve met my Prince Charming, so half the battle is won!”
She added: “I love our life. We would just love to add a baby into the mix soon.”
After emerging from The Bachelorette as a couple, Trista, a purse designer, and Ryan, a Colorado firefighter, enjoyed a fairy-tale wedding in California in 2003 that aired as a special on ABC.
