It has not been confirmed by Sony Pictures as of yet, but Latino Review is reporting that Patrick Fugit of Almost Famous has top crack at replacing Tobey Maguire as the new Spider-Man.

Now comes word via LatinoReview that Patrick Fugit is the top name in the running to replace Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker. Now of course, no contracts have been signed, and the films have not even been officially greenlit (at least from a public perspective), so in other words - nothing is final. You probably recognize Fugit from his breakout performance in Cameron Crowe’s Almost Famous

Most of the key players involved in the first three Spider-Man films have moved on causing the producers of the movie to find all new actors for the new film.
