Tight-End Chris Cooley and Christy Oglevee Get Married
Chris Cooley, the Washington Redskins tight end, got married to his fiance Christy Oglevee this past weekend in Lansdowne, Virginia.
Cooley and Oglevee met in 2005 when another Redskin cheerleader he was seeing brought her over to his house.
The secret relationship got out in the public and the two Redskins cheerleaders were eventually kicked off of the cheerleading squad on Fan Appreciation Day of all days.
Cooley has written this post about his Christy on his Yahoo blog, and it’s a sweet, tender account of how he feels about his bride:
I asked Christy to be my wife nine months ago, and I’m a lucky man; she chose to be with me. I think she has learned being with a football player is harder than it looks. She is looked through countless times by surrounding football fans, and the funny thing is Christy should be getting the attention. Not to mention she has to put up with my terrible attitude five months out of the year (A.K.A. football season).
