Simon Cowell Slams Fantasia’s ‘American Idol’ Performance
There has been much discussion (we love it!) on Celebritique about Fantasia’s performance on American Idol last week. We said it was horrible, but many fans have come to her defense.
American Idol judge Simon Cowell has revealed what he was thinking when the camera caught him making a face as former “Idol” winner Fantasia Barrino performed on the show last week.
On Monday night, “Tonight Show” host Jay Leno showed Cowell the clip from last week on “The Tonight Show” and Simon said he was thinking, “What the bloody hell was that?”

Cowell said that the performance by Barrino looked more like a first-round audition disaster than a song by a former “Idol” champ.
Cowell said that he ended up looking at his fellow judges, Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul, wondering what was going on, thinking that Barrino’s effort “wasn’t her at her best.”
