Sarah Jessica Parker Joins Steve and Barry’s
Actress Sarah Jessica Parker of Sex And The City has recently introduced her own fashion line called Bitten, and she has decided to make the line available to every income range.
She has joined Steve and Barry’s, a fast-growing fashion empire started by Steve Shore and Barry Prevor.
The specialty of Steve and Barry’s is that everything costs less than $10. The chain is the exclusive seller for actress Sarah Jessica Parker’s clothing line and basketball player Stephon Marbury’s athletic shoes. The company is currently planning to expand in a big way this year.
On Bitten’s website, Sarah says that the name Bitten came from a result of her reaction when she was first introduced to Steve & Barry’s. She says she was blown away by the company’s mission and “bitten by the Steve & Barry’s bug” after walking into a Steve & Barry’s store for the first time. It’s a play off of the phrase “to be bitten with the acting bug,” which is common among those who, upon experiencing the stage for the first time, decide they must pursue an occupation as an actor or actress.”
