Plano megachurch minister charged in Internet sex sting
A minister at a Dallas-area church has been charged with online solicitation of a minor after allegedly being caught in a Bryan Internet sex sting.
Bryan police say undercover officers communicated — as a 13-year-old girl — with 52-year-old Joe Barron of Plano for about two weeks.
Bryan police say the online conversations with the minister from Prestonwood Baptist Church were sexually explicit.
Ugh…Why, Why, Why????
The police statement says officers posing as the girl asked Barron on May 6th for an in-person rendezvous in Bryan, where the preacher was arrested.
A statement from Prestonwood Executive Pastor Mike Buster says they’re disturbed and saddened by the reports and are praying for the Barron family.
Buster also says the church is fully cooperating with police.
Did they catch it all on 60-minutes???

If a person goes/attends a “church” (there is really only one, if they are followers of Jesus christ, who is God) where the people attending look and act “good”… you are in a place far closer to Hell than Heaven. In society’s eye’s Jesus hung with the Sinners… NOT THE GOOD FOLK!! Truely they were broken and honest about it. It is replusive that places like Prestonwood are so Lost and still don’t get it 2k yrs later. Still pullin the same Crap that the Pharisees did… “Playing” churchy church/religon. Until and unless the “church” starts showing up Eagerly willing to dump all their Fithly Garbage for all to see and being REAL… They will continue to have zero real impact on community. Prestonwood is the place to go…NOT Belong… Horrible place to try to find/follow Jesus. NO ONE WILL EVER BE REAL THERE. They are so lost.
Note to “John, May 17th” - you have some serious anger issues that you need to deal with. Prestonwood is a wonderful place of worship filled with REAL christians. People that love and follow the Lord. You obviously don’t have a clue what you are talking about. Too bad you feel the need to criticize a place that you know nothing about and possibly turn people away. God will hold you accountable for that.
Dr. Graham- the senior pastor of prestonwood- is a wonderful, spiritual leader. God has used to him to grow Prestonwood to 25,000 members.
If someone hates being in a large church filled with Christians, then they are going hate heaven.
