R. Kelly Trial Denied Postponement
R&B star R. Kelly had his last-minute bid to postpone his child pornography trial denied,. It’s about damn time!
Earlier in the week, R. Kelly’s team of lawyers tried to use the excuse that the recent “torrent of publicity” could have a negative outcome on the decision in the case.
Or perhaps it’s the fact that he taped having sex with a 13 year-old girl that could cause a negative outcome. I suppose they never thought about that aspect of the trial.
So finally, 6 years after Kelly was arrested for having sex with a minor, the trial proceedings are set to continue.
The 41-year-old has pleaded not guilty to 14 charges of child pornography, after a videotape emerged allegedly showing him having sex with an underage girl. If convicted, R. Kelly faces 15 years in prison.
