In a statement worthy of jazz-flute playing, news room legend Ron Burgundy himself, director Adam McKay announced that ‘Will and I are like ‘let’s do Anchorman 2.”
Writer-director Adam McKay is moving forward with plans to do a sequel to Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. He plans to definitely do a sequel as long as he can get the original cast back together. The original cast includes Will Ferrell, Christina Applegate, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell, Vince Vaughn and Baxter the dog.
“We’re dying to do it,” he explained. “Unless we can’t get the cast together, which is always kind of a tricky thing. But, I think, with that cast we’re all friends, so yeah, we want to do it.”
The team is likely to make the highly anticipated sequel in around 2 years time.
