Barbara Walters confessed to Oprah Winfrey that she had an affair with a married US Senator for several years in the 70’s.
Barbara revealed her lover was Senator Edward Brooke, a moderate Republican from Massachusetts who took office in 1967.
Walters said she was ‘infatuated’ by Brooke: “He was exciting. He was brilliant. It was exciting times in Washington.”
