Is Ryan Seacrest Getting Axed From American Idol??
With “American Idol” ratings down this year, could host Ryan Seacrest be worrying about his job security?
That appears to be the case, a source close to Seacrest is telling MSNBC.com’s The Scoop.
“Ryan is so busy turning himself in a diverse brand, one that has longevity, it wouldn’t come as a surprise to think that he isn’t worried about his job security with ‘Idol,’” the source told The Scoop.
“We’re not in denial,” Fox scheduling chief Preston Beckman told Grossman. “It’s still the biggest show on TV, but that doesn’t mean there are things we can’t do. The feedback from this year you’ll probably see on the show next year.”
According to the Hollywood Reporter, “American Idol” posted its lowest ratings in five years after last week’s show in the key demographic of 18- to 49-year-olds.
If Seacrest gets fired from American Idol, the show will go downhill very quickly. I’m calling it right now.
